“Ouima! Hail our king.
Creator! Maker of everything.”
Pat didn’t know the words. Zave touched him and pointed to the side wall, where the words shined brightly as if inscribed in light. Pat caught the beat and joined in.
“Worship and praise.
All of our days.
Ouima! God of light.
Ouima! Day and night.
Love him, praise him,
Do everything to please him.”
All the people bowed twice, then started the hymn over. Pat was halfway through the words before he realized their meaning. There was only one God of light, the God of the Bible. Shocked at what he was saying, Pat lost the rhythm and stopped bowing. The words refused to come out of his mouth.
