That question has been the focus of man’s query since the Garden of Eden. From the time of creation, people have tried to please God or whatever gods they believed in by sacrificing their children or their animals, giving their harvest, or beating or starving their bodies into submission to whatever rules they thought mattered. In spite of everything they did, most of the time they were far from the truth.
Today many believe in the true God, but they are uncertain how to please Him. “God, how can I please You?” they ask. “God, how can I make You love me?” “God, what do You want me to do so You will take me to heaven?”
“God, what do you want me to do?” That is the greatest question man has ever asked of God, and He has given us the answer. His reply has nothing to do with what car we should buy, which house we should move into, or many other decisions we must make. God’s answer, however, has everything to do with where we will spend eternity.
