Our Stronghold in Prayer: A Women's Class Book and Prayer Journal

We are so used to pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps instead of asking others for help. Being independent has been a mantra in our country since before the Revolutionary War. In the latter century, people have turned to and trusted in science to solve our problems. However, we face troubles that independence and science can never cure. They cannot save us from our fear of the future, our sin, and death.

In such times we must turn to God and lean on Him. Prayer is our portal to God. We are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us and gave himself for us. Nothing can separate us from His love. God and Christ will always love us. He loves us still though we sin and turn from Him. He loves us even when we forget about Him and do not pray.

We must lean on God to satisfy our inner desire for companionship. Our friends and family may fail us and leave us lonely, but God is always present no matter when we need Him. We can enter His presence and spill our hearts to His listening ear. Hold onto His hand and know that He will never let you go.
