How much detail do you need regarding your book hero? Do you like to imagine him with a few descriptors the author gives you, or do you want the author to lay him out for you from the top of his head down to the tips of his toes?
This past week, one of my writers' group members asked me if my character looked like Jack Reacher, aka actor Alan Ritchson. I hadn't thought about it (Jake came to life before Alan Ritchson came on the scene). However, I had to agree that they were similar. She nodded her head and then said that the character worked for her. Mission accomplished.
