As she walked behind the coffin, Doolittle daydreamed about the male brain. She believed it was the most erotic organ. She fantasized that she had invented the technology to remove a brain in working order from its protective bone armour. She would kiss and lick the meninges while talking to them in a French accent, because she didn’t speak French even in her imagination. But she loved French brains, literally. Her fondness for that organ and her genuine desire to help the student body through counselling set her apart from her friend Julie Progress.
