Exitus
A row of pointed railings ran along the front of each side guarding the college from any curious passer-by who might have hoped for casual enlightenment by looking through the rows of tall windows. A pedant – not our Wallace – entering the college who counted the railing spikes would have discovered an extra one on the eastern side of the archway. The expansive plains of grey stone on the front walls belied the general intellectual environment of the college, which was decidedly black and white.
