Paul was angered by his arrogant manner. “You’re an asshole, aren’t you? And the problem is that you like it that way. Ok, just help me out with this Susi mess. Or, don’t. We win either way, don’t we? If she doesn’t make it, or better yet, if she and her husband don’t make it, what does that mean for our beautiful Gloria? You know, we’ve been invited to dinner tonight. Or, did she forget to ask you?”
Jeremy couldn’t believe the idiotic words coming from this man’s mouth, “Paul, I do believe you have a patient who you need to send to lala land where his wife is leading a life of crazy non-existence. Yes, I am going to dinner with Gloria and company. But sadly, I will be making excuses for you. Yes, poor Paul. He’s sitting by both their sides, doing everything humanly possible to get them back from their nightmare. I think I’ll make you sound like a hero, instead of the idiot you are.”
Livid, Paul stood and asked him to leave. “The worst thing that ever happened to me is working with you. I hate that I ever met you, you cool-mannered psychopath. Get out of here, go!” Angry with himself for showing his fierce feelings for Jeremy, Paul didn’t wait for him to leave, but went inside, into his bedroom and shut the door, knowing that the ugly man out on his terraza would have no reason to stay.
