Jeremy interrupted her. “This old man you call Mickey. Be careful he’s not a plant by Paul, or just a crazy man. You can’t be too careful these days.”
Gloria was about to add her thoughts to the conversation, when the sky lit up with a huge flash. “I’ve never seen it like this night after night during this time of year. These storms usually don’t happen until August. I just don’t get it, and it worries me.” She stood. “We all need to get ourselves inside, I believe we’re about to get a big downpour like the other night.”
As the words came out of her mouth, a huge gust of wind almost knocked her over, and they felt the first drops. They ran, but the rain had successfully soaked their clothes by the time they reached the lobby. They didn’t even attempt to make any plans at that point, but instead, decided to retreat to the safety of their suites at the top of the building.
Jeremy was the first to get off the elevator, and as he stepped into the hall, he held the doors open while he said good night, and then addressed Emma, “I heard your folks are coming tomorrow. I look forward to meeting them, Emma. What are their names, so it won’t be awkward meeting them?”
Gloria answered him, “You are going to love them.” She winked at Emma. “Their names are Jimmy and Mori, and if Emma will allow me to say this, Mori’s got a lot of flavor in her personality.”

He let the doors shut, stunned by the news. By the time he reached his room, his initial shock had morphed into a feeling of pure delight. In fact, he found himself swaying around his room with a goofy look on his face. Should I call Paul and let him know? He laughed, and nearly picked up the phone. Nah, the idiot will be more fun to watch as he squirms. Jeremy turned on the TV, but didn’t hear anything coming from the box as he sat on the couch with a warm smile on his face.
