Outside, thunder blasted over the sea and the entire sky pulsed with bright rods igniting with each strike. It wasn’t like a normal storm. There were no bolts of lightning, just flashes. And you couldn’t count the seconds before the next blaze of light. He could do that up north. Instead, the sky was filled with a steady stream of bright fireworks. This was the sound and light show that was going on as Jeremy became sleepy on his couch, his mind traveling back to that dreadful night.
