They left Gloria’s office and were hit with a chaotic mess of people running around in the enormous lobby of her handsome hotel. They seemed to be in panic, and not worried about thrashing bystanders to the side to get where they wanted to be. Emma grabbed someone’s arm, and asked what was happening.
“They’ve identified that headless guy, he was staying here. This place isn’t safe. I don’t care if we have to sleep on the floor of the airport. I’m getting my family out of here. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll do the same, Miss.” The man began yelling at his wife to get the kids. “Meet me with the kids in our room, I’ll go pack. Hurry!”
Emma was shocked, and wanted to ask Gloria if the comandante had changed his mind and made the identity public, but her boss was already headed back to the office to call him. “Mom, I’m sorry but I have to help with this mess. Why don’t you find Daddy and get some lunch. We’ll spend time together later.”
“Leave a message for us if there’s anything we can do to help. I’ll go find your dad.” Mori ran out the western doors and past the pools to the beach.
