A few hours went by when the honking began. Ben had since joined them so when the noise started, the three of them ran to the parking lot to see it full of trucks and cars. A nice looking man in his thirties got out of a truck and went to Mori. “Mori, the oddest thing is happening around here. Seems that every store within twenty-some miles is sold out. No beer, wine, or anything.” He stared at the ground for a moment, and then looked up, revealing the biggest grin across his face. He stretched his arm out and waved it at all the cars and trucks as if to introduce them as the Greatest Show Ever. “I called a few friends, Mori. They and the people you ladies called raided their own stock and I think we’ve got enough booze to take care of you until I get back from Idaho Falls. Don’t look so gloomy, Katie, the night is going to be fun. I’ll be headed out now, but will be back soon.” He finished his speech and stood smiling at Mori.
Stunned, a few seconds went by and then Mori ran to Jimmy and jumped into his arms, kissing him and waving her cowgirl hat. “Jimmy, you’re the sweetest man in Idaho!”
