Cue was the only one to join her, pulling up a chair next to her. “Gloria, tell me that Mori is jealous of you, and that you’re still in my camp.” He looked at her, his eyes telling her that he wanted to believe anything she could offer him.
She grabbed him and gave him a big hug. “Does that tell ya what you want to know, Quinton?” Her face sparkled. Then, she jumped up and went to the front door to make sure it wasn’t locked. Outside were over a dozen handsome young men, eager to get in, all shivering in the snow while wearing nothing but red boxer shorts. She flung the door open and the wind blasted the last of the winter air into the room, as the chilly boxer boys made their entrance. One by one, she welcomed them to Sticks. After the last of the red boxers made his way into the warm room, she skipped over to the jukebox and made several selections, each with an easy beat for the dancers.
The music started and the boxer boys, now on the stage, began their dancing. Gloria sat in front with paper and pen, ready to score the dancers.
