Destiny's safety and happiness was the main concern here. She was screaming more and more, hiding in closets, playing in her feces at home and in daycare, and extremely aggressive to the other children. Every week I was leaving work to pick her up from daycare, and sometimes asked to leave. So off I went to find yet another daycare facility that would care for my baby. The time off work was getting tight and my boss was getting impatient.
She couldn't separate herself from me for one second. Leaving her to go to work was getting harder and harder.
I continued to do all that I had to do so that a court date could be required and so that I would be able to plead my case to the best of my ability. Therapists as well as the division of youth and family services were lining up to testify on our behalf. Everything was moving forward, and then finally, the final court date letter arrived in the mail. Basically, it stated: “Show up at 9am on this date and we will hand down our decision on this matter”.
