Kaid followed her into her living room. He sipped from his half full tumbler and surveyed the room.
“Place is nice. I like it.” His scent wafted around her living room in waves.
Bliss groaned. Gods have mercy on my sanity. His scent would take ages to naturally dissipate. She squinted at him. “Turn off the stink tank.”
“Uh?” He scented the air and a flash of silver touched his checks. “My emotions are all fucked up. Didn’t realize.”
She stepped back and wished the old saying, ‘the more dominant the male the stronger and more alluring the scent,’ wasn’t really true. You didn’t get a much more dominant male Eli than Kaid Sinclair, but she got it. In times of high emotion, the Eli often unconsciously took over.
Unfortunately he smelled so right. Didn’t that royally piss her off? How dare he have such an effect of her after what he’d become. Human, that’s what she wished she was—a normal Earth human, then she’d smell nothing but the fire’s sweet wood smoke.
Although she didn’t date Eli, she doubted she would find anyone’s scent as sexually alluring as Kaid’s.
