“She weighed ten pounds less than an elephant. No wonder they had such a hard time getting her out.” Mindy’s eyes grew wide. “You know what was keeping her wedged? What was holding her on to that piling?”
A puzzled look crossed Carrie’s face as she shook her head no.
“She had on a body girdle. You know, one of those things that’s supposed to hold your tummy in and smooth your figure.” Primping as she moved her hands down the sides of her body, Mindy giggled. “They’re all latex, you know, thick, and hot as hell, too. My momma’s got one.”
Mindy leaned against her counter and stretched to peer down one of the aisles where customers were shopping. “How she can wear one of those things in the summertime beats me. They’re thick and heavy-why, she could have been there forever if that kid hadn’t hooked her with his line.”
