Opening a cabinet above the sink she found bottles of Tylenol, aspirin and Excedrin. A few more pain relievers lined the shelves along with Benadryl and Nyquil. Running her fingers along the vials of medications, Estelle spied one tucked behind a bottle of cough syrup and a bottle of Pepto Bismol. The label read, PENTOBARBITAL.
“Shit, I’ve hit the motherload.”
Tossing her head about, her hair flying wildly, Estelle closed her eyes to conjure the spirits she felt were bestowing gifts on her.
“What else could I ask for? This is perfect.”
Peering into the plastic vial, Estelle pursed her lips and counted sixteen tablets, then wondered if sixteen would be enough. “I’ll make it work,” she tittered aloud, secure in the feeling that anything she did would turn out well.
