CAROL ANN ROSS is the author of the Murder by the Sea series, The Topsail Island Trilogy, and The Blue House Series. Having spent her childhood climbing sand dunes, doing the beach thing, and deep-sea fishing, Carol incorporates those experiences in the works she pens. Her novels are full of intrigue, romance, and incidious intent, all set in picturesque south eastern North Carolina. She is a graduate of UNC-A and Spring Hill College in Alabama.

Amos Burger sipped from his tea too, his eyes quickly glancing at the others before casting his gaze through the plate glass window facing the motel and the ocean just beyond. He breathed in heavily after the sip, thinking of how much he hated coming to the Marina Restaurant. He knew too, that Towler knew he hated it.
