E.J. didn’t like cell phones, but hers had become a necessity. Traveling to the Outer Banks and then down to Kure Beach and Wilmington as often as she’d been doing in the last few years had made the phone a vital part of her existence.
There always seemed to be a double-edged sword quality to all things; she enjoyed the travels, but hated the technology required. She loved meeting the people who vacationed from all over the country, but hated sitting in the hot summer sun. It seemed everything was a compromise.
