“Let’s not be too hasty, Mayor,” someone shouts from her right. The blonde news reporter hands her microphone to a spectator, and it is passed through the throng. A woman adds her gentle voice to the mix, “We want to inspire our children to vote. Let kids know they can make a difference.”
