All His Wrath

“Peace be with you!” he intoned. “On behalf of all in this community housed among the Ten Pinnacles, I bring you thanks and blessing. Again, the Chosen One joined us in battling the evil of separation and the fanatical patriotism of Kahrnahrgx and his disciples. Yet the foundation upon which their zealotry is built has been cracked by the selfless actions you have demonstrated. Several of his warriors and commanders have renounced his view and, in time, will return into our rookery. For their return, we rejoice, even as we trust to Hope that, in time, more will come home. We do not see our role as caretakers of humans to be a burden but an honor of the highest order, graced upon us by the Giver. Thus, we are grieved by the perversion that alienates us from our brethren.

“As a parent with their child, we would wish for you only safety and joy. Our wish isn’t enough. Therefore, we act. Though you see us not, ever will we be vigilant…ever watchful. You will not be alone, even as we pursue Kahrnahrgx and his deceived followers, trusting to Providence for direction and supply. Our goal, as it has ever been, is reconciliation, not sundering.

“Many new questions surfaced within the throne room. These we seek to resolve, as Lohxnahr has already made known to you. We suspect but must confirm, despite the woe that is uncovered.”
