Over the bridge, the smallest Gruff crossed, "Trip, Trap, Trip, Trap."
"Who Tramps Over My Bridge?" roared devious troll.
"Small Sister Nanny Gruff. I go to the meadow to make myself fat."
"No, you're not. I am going to gobble you up."
"Please don't eat me. I'm too little. Wait until my Brother Billy comes. He is bigger."
“Then be off with you. "Troll thought: I will wait until this goat gets fatter.
Minutes later, Brother Billy crossed the bridge.
"Trip, Trap! Trip, Trap, Trip, Trap!"
"Who Tramps Over My Bridge?" roared devious troll.
"Only Brother Billy Gruff. I go to the meadow to make myself fat."
"No, you're not. I am going to gobble you up."
"Please don't eat me. I'm too thin. Wait until my Big Sister Nanny comes. She is large and fat."
“Then be off with you." Troll thought; I can wait until this goat gets fatter.
Minutes later, Big Sister Nanny crossed the bridge.
"Trip, Trap! Trip, Trap, Trip, Trap!”
The bridge creaked and groaned under the weight of Big Sister Nanny.
"Who Tramps Over My Bridge?" growled devious troll.
"Big Sister Nanny Gruff.” Her voice was as loud as the Troll's growl.
"I'm Gobbling You Up."
"Well, Come Along! I Got Two Horns And Four Hard Hooves. See What You Can Do!"
* * *
Up climbed the mean, devious troll. With her horns, Big Sister Nanny butted him, hard. The troll grabbed her horns and screamed. Big Sister Nanny dangled him from the bridge over the rushing river.
Not what the mean, devious troll planned.
