“I’ve already taken care of it. I’ve booked most of my schedule, so I end up down in this area every weekend Aaron has a game.”
“You know he’s going to love it, Marion.”
“So am I, lover. This is going to be Aaron’s coming-out year. We both want the best for our kid, Rosa.” Marion didn’t wait for an answer. He quickly drew Rosa close to him. Marion brought his lips to meet hers, the caresses not passionate now, just soft, gentle caresses between the two.
“You know it hurts not seeing him grow up.”

Marion extended his arms and placed his hands, palms down, in front of Rosa.
“Being white, honey, is the only reason I get to see Aaron. And if I weren’t white, he wouldn’t look white. And honey, if he didn’t look white, he might never get a chance to show people how good he is.
