What will it cost Him
Just as in the case of building a building, there is a cost, a cost that
must be paid in order to get the building built. Put another way,
a cost to reach the goal. Now this is the blessing: the end result of
the completed building is much more valuable or worth more to you
than the initial cost. In other words, when you buy or pay for the
materials, it may be expensive. However, when you put the materials
together, the collective work is much more valuable than the expens-
es that were paid out. Ultimately, the return on your investment is
greater than your initial investment. The principle is the same when
we are following Jesus. Although what we put out will cost us, the
return on our investment is far greater than the original investment
itself. Look at the many promises He offers:
• He turns us into a new creature, and all old things pass away.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
• Our prayers shall save the sick. (James 5:15)
• The Lord will be your strength. (Psalm 27:1)
• God will draw near to us. (James 4:7-8)
• Our faith will be increased. (Romans 10:17)
• We will obtain indescribable Peace. (Philippians 4:7)
• We receive Guidance in all we do (Psalms 119:105)
• We receive Wisdom (James 1:5)
• The ability to speak with God for clarity (Isaiah 1:18)
• He will restore what was lost; We will be strengthened (Ezekiel
34:16)
• He will always be with us (Matthew 28:20; Isaiah 41:10)
• An abundant Life (John 10:10)
These are just the tip of the iceberg of promises that Jesus has
