Visioning: Creating the Life of Our Dreams and a World That Works for Us All
Yes, this may take the rest of our lives—not at the same level of intense work, of course—but we have a lifetime to go deeper, deeper into the center of our being. The monks in the monasteries go deeper with each meditation, to know themselves better, even after years of continuing the practice. The athlete always reaches for the better time—one one-hundredth of a second can be the critical difference between gold and silver. That’s what we’re here for. But the old issues do get resolved, the scars heal, and the scenery gets better and better. And if an issue resurfaces and we say, “But I’ve been here before!” the Divine is just saying, “Well, you’re here again, aren’t you?” meaning that either the issue has not been resolved yet or it’s time to go even deeper with it to a place of even greater truth and healing.
