She looked into his eyes and saw the man she had been with so many times, and remembered from the future the man she would be with again. And again.
“I knew I was seeking someone; I just didn’t know who,” Byron said, interrupting her memories from the past and the future. “I knew you were alive and going about your day and singing and laughing. I just hoped you weren’t married yet. I knew you’d be beautiful and full of light with dancing eyes and laughter that sounds like bells on the wind.”
She laughed, ringing the bells, as if to bring his words to life. “And I knew you’d be strong and handsome and adventurous. I just didn’t know how…..” He looked over at her as she paused. “Adventurous! And strong and handsome,” she quickly added to his crestfallen face.
