God's Armory
Amy looked into the mirror. She felt tired, lonely, and depressed. A face with mousy brown curls and coke bottle glasses looked back at her. After all the eye surgeries she still needed these thick glasses. There was just no way you could put glass that thick into designer frames and make them look good. She sighed. The only good thing to happen to her that day was Alex coming into the store. She replayed the encounter. His dimples showed when he smiled. She sighed. A smile came to her face as she heard his voice saying her name. She rose and went to get her purse. Digging through it she found the card he had given to her and checked the time. She miraculously had the day off. She knew where she would be tomorrow morning. There was even a health aide to help her mother while she was gone.
