Coiled up on her couch, looking at a catalog, Mazie found what she wanted. She placed the order and counted the days until it should arrive.
She placed all her orders the old-fashioned way. Mazie had no computer, no cell phone, and only a land line. She wanted as little connection with the rest of the world as possible. The world had not been kind to Mazie, though she had a happy enough childhood before things changed.
