Dad nodded.

“Now there’s gonna be a new election, right?”

Dad answered, “That’s right. It’s an election year. We’ll have a new president come January. Oro’s already been in eight terrible years.” Dad said as he threw wood on the fire. “We’re almost done with him, thank God.” He picked up a poker and adjusted the fire.

“Then what do you think will happen? Could he still be the anti-Christ?” Anna asked.

Dad leaned forward before answering. “Well, we have to look at all the scriptures. His name might add up to 666 using the number value of the Hebrew letters but there are a few more things the Bible tells us about the Antichrist.”

“Like maybe he’s Jewish,” Debbie suggested.

“That’s a good possibility,” Dad nodded. But there are some compelling facts that point to the Antichrist coming out of Europe.”

“Europe? Why Europe?” asked Ruthie.

“Well, the area covers more than just Europe. It’s the Holy Roman Empire. Not to be confused with the Roman Empire. It covers parts of the middle East and the coast of northern Africa.” He paused for emphasis, “And it has quietly been revived in our time.” As the family sat there stunned and quiet, Dad continued, “There are several people in that area who are likely candidates.”

“So, how will we know it’s him?” I asked.

“Right now, the important thing is to be ready to meet Jesus. When the anti-Christ comes, he will be against anything Christ-like, so we need to be strong Christians. One place we get Spiritual strength is in prayer.” He held his hands out to each side. “Shall we?
