“Hey, Mom, can I do two companies for extra credit?”
“What?” asked Anna. “Since when do you ask for more work?”
“Yeah, man, cut that out,” chided Simeon. “You’re going to make me look bad.”
Mom came over to Jeremy and leaned down to look at his laptop. “What companies are you so interested in?”
She read the company name and looked over the home page info. “They control the weather? Wait a minute, are you kidding? What is the other company? Are you telling me you found another one as good as this?”
Jeremy clicked over to SFrog and showed his mother. “Wow, I see why you want to do them both. OK, I’ll figure it out.” She went on to check out the companies for Anna and Simeon then she planned the route to see all four companies. “Grab your coats”, Mom instructed. “Looks like it could rain.”
“Whatever happened to sunny California?” Simeon complained.
Mom drove north on 880 to 237. The clouds darkened as they went. They drove along the bay lands to a huge futuristic looking building. The light from a colorful company logo shown through the gloom from where it was embedded high in the company wall.
Jeremy gazed at it. It was cool looking, but what was it?
