Loans are easier to get than the common cold and though Landon and I are new at our jobs and also our careers, obtaining a home loan is simple and quick. With the help of Kimber, Landon and I find our first home within the first couple of days, making an offer and closing soon after. The home is Matthews a minute south of Charlotte, nestled on an acre lot surrounded by plush foliage and no neighbors. We love it. In both our minds, this segment of our lives thus far exceeds anything we’ve ever done together or alone. We frequently speak of how incredibly happy we are and how we are meant to be together and how we can’t wait to discover what cool thing will be just around the next corner. What a difference from just a few months ago.
Now, Landon and I are poster children for happiness and contentment. And love. We feel entitled to this happiness. Of course within the first week at our new home, we have made it our business to christen each and every room with that love. The lovemaking is better than ever in this house and certainly more frequent than ever before.
Landon and I spend endless hours after work and on weekends painting our beloved new home with many different colors of the sunset. Chili pepper red simmers above the kitchen cabinets and butter yellow dons the walls; mellow sage green soothes the dining room, and peach glows in the hallways. These colors, I explain to Landon are all happy colors. Every single one. They each serve a purpose.
