The day started like any other. After the sun rose it was nothing but sunny skies, as usual for Summer. The air was humid, the humming of ACs could be heard around the neighborhood, As well as, the beginning sounds of people awakening.
Yes, it was as normal as you could get.
Alarms going off too early, coffee, shower, and so on. The daily grind as people called it. As we complained about morning traffic, got breakfast, and swerved from lane to lane, we never knew our day was about to change.
The school busses full of children didn’t know. The energy drinking speed demon didn’t have a clue. Not even grandma with her Pomeranian, hanging out the window, was any wiser.
It came as a complete surprise, costing us all. We only thought we knew what chaos was. We were wrong.
It happened in a flash.
