Joey looked down in time to see Rodney aiming a fist at his groin. Joey kicked him hard in the ribs, knocking the wind out of him. The kick felt good to Joey. It was nice dishing it out after the beating he had taken. “Now, get nicely to your feet and walk out the door with me, or I’ll kick your ass all over your electric wires.” With that, he hoisted a groaning Rodney to his feet by the collar of his fatigues. They walked toward the door, and as they left, Joey waved and said, “Carry on, men.”
By the time they got to the sunlit street, Rodney had regained most of his wind and all of his arrogance. “I’ll get your ass kicked,” he yelled at Joey. “I’ll get the colonel to kick your ass! Who the hell are you?”
