Ann did a long, languid stretch. Raised on a dairy farm, she was normally an early riser. This morning, however, she was warm and comfortable next to Jason and wanted to stay there. Jason was eager to start the lab work on the virus, but Ann knew that rushing complicated work led to mistakes. They had other things they could do that would be more satisfying.
They had been dating for three years. There had been some blowups, but she never felt more comfortable than when he put his arms around her. Ann snuggled closer to him. “Don’t you think it’s time you moved into my apartment? My roommate is graduating this spring, and in seven months you’re going to be a daddy.”
Pleased with how well that went, she decided to try it later in the week when Jason was awake.
