Tamechactee: Arrow Soul
I glanced at my watch, the numbers read 11:00 P.M. It was time. I rose up on my knee from a prone position on the ground and looked through the woods to see the other eight. In the darkness it was almost impossible to see them, our bodies in black combat wear, our faces painted black. As Matthew had instructed, our shoes were soft, making no sound. At the far end of the line we had established while waiting in the woods was Marla. She had agreed to go. A Lycan would take part in this she had said. I made a forward chopping motion in the air with my hands. Go! We started forward in the dense woods, careful to make no sound. Any accidental break of a twig or a stumble could reveal us. Moving along the only sound was the soft wind. There was a chill in the air as fall was almost here. We were moving with little to no gear. After leaving our two black vans a couple miles back, we had only brought our silenced M4’s and the flashbangs. I had my Glocks outfitted with silencers, and my knife. I also had brought my .44 Magnum, in case I became weaponless, but it couldn’t be silenced. If I used it, there would be great danger from the very loud blast. We had left camp quickly, telling no one where we were going. If it played out right, nobody would even notice we were gone as everyone went to sleep.
