“Are these the people from the club last night? There’s so many of them!”
“Yes. We brought in as many as we could over here. The overflow went to some other local hospitals. That club was packed and the attacks happened so quickly that most people couldn’t get out. A few people died, none due to the attacks though. Just people getting trampled by the crowd trying to get out."
She looked up at the ceiling for a second, then looked back at Anson. "Everyone with bite wounds heals remarkably fast, no matter how bad the wounds are. But no one wakes up until their wounds are almost healed.”
“My bad, ma!”
“Look, don’t tell me you’re sorry. We still don’t know what happened in there. I’m going to bet that you'll be sorry soon, sorry that you ever went to that club in the first place. I don’t know what happened in there, but I don’t trust it. It’s weird...”
