“You wanted to see me, sir?” Wes stepped into his commander’s office. The commander looked up at him and frowned.
“I’ve discovered some disturbing things about you, Carraway.”
Wes held his breath and waited, inwardly cringing. He’d only been assigned to OP-439 a short time ago, but the list of his transgressions was long: he’d stolen information from a confidential file about a suspected terrorist, he’d repeatedly broken into the home of the subject of that confidential file, and he’d arrested an innocent man. Even worse, had his commander learned he was working with the Resistance? Wes imagined he’d find all of it disturbing.
