After seven wretched years of marriage, it almost took Darius everything he had, financially and psychologically, to finally be able to cut off Allison - his sociopath wife - from his life.
Now, three years later, things couldn't be going any better for Darius. An accomplished author with multiple Hollywood adaptations of his books, his life is nothing like the drama it used to be before his divorce.
Yet, a simple Facebook friend request is enough to once again send him spiralling towards Allison. Has she really changed? Could it be that she's left her sociopathic self behind and she's become a better person?
Or is there an ulterior motive behind her reappearance in Darius's life - something deeper, darker, more sinister than he could ever imagine? A secret that smacks of the blood-sucking, supernatural kind.
Mike Gagnon, recognized author of thrillers "Skidsville", "The Island Of Dr. Morose", and more, returns with another genre-bending book of unexpected approaches - one that you won't be able to put down from the first page to the last!
Lifelong lover of words and art. A professional author, illustrator and instructor that has worked for publishers all over the world. Fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, magazines.
After years of freedom, Darius gets a request over Facebook from his sociopath ex-wife.

Uninvited
Darius sat idly scrolling through his Facebook page, a rare break from his work of studying culture. As he scrolled through his pages, a message notification popped up. He tapped the red circle with a white number 1 and a split second later, a friend invite from an Allison Jones loaded on the screen. The profile featured a picture of her the way he remembered her looking; an older picture from a time shortly before they met. He stared at the screen for a minute and wasn’t sure what to do. Darius was surrounded by a beautifully opulent home. A small mansion really. A very intricate and well-appointed old-fashioned fireplace with a large hearth and a mantle above it filled the center of the wall behind him. The wall above the mantle and the rest of that room was covered in artifacts, part of his collection of rare tokens from different cultures and countries. Memories from Darius’s career that he had gathered over the years.
