By now, Emit, grim faced, shaken regain control of the pod and maneuvers away from from what looks like lava flow and ashes pouring down the giant ocean waves
Soon we hurtle onto space, no sight of the other pods. Deep sorrow and muffled cries floated around us, our kids first taste of loss and violence.
A stabbing pain hit me in the abdomen, radiating to my back and intensifying, "Oh God" I sit down, hugging my body, as I begin separating from my upper body, feathery cream wings flapped back and forth pulling me inside a swirling clouds of dust and debris that enters our pod
"Mom, no" the kids scream
"Geysa, No!" Emit grabs one of my feathery wing but he's thrown to the walls
Trapped in the growing clouds, I catch one final glance at the pods shooting onto space, the pod's intact and my family made it out, my grateful thoughts before I black out
Soft music and a gentle hand squeeze wakes me underneath green leafy trees
"Thank you angels," Cassandra exclaims, behind her some of our shelter kids and pets gather
Feeling myself, I'm rejoin, whole body and no feather wings. And how on Earth did they find me?
"The SQ3, turns us back in time," Cassandra says, "including dormant abilities"
Unspoken memories of my intense frightening memories with the breed of Manananggals flowed between me and Cassandra. Escaping them amid volcanic eruptions..
"You will always be my endless love... hmm hmm hmmm"
"Nothing's gonna stop us now, hmm hmm and we can build this dream..."

A prayer song, build on
the kids play and sing from their torn notes sheet music

I'd taught them in Cassandra's absence, note reading, playing by the upper G Cleffs and the kids coming up with their own bass left finger play
"Ma'am Geys, we've plotted and playing on full-bodied sheet music, our notes on both Gs and Bass" they hold the sheet up closer to me, "we never want you apart from your family again nor separated from your half body"
Tears in my eyes, I hug them all "you play from your heart and out of joy"
Antone, the eldest among the kids, must be about thirteen, run towards me
"Clemens on the line" he gushes "they've heard our songs", he hands his mobile device, the latest of 2016 iphones
"Mom, you Ok?" my kids' eager faces on the mobile screen.
"Geysa, babe" Emit greets me, deep lines on his face. "We'll get you back," he shakes head, " heads up, the Council wants you, and they're very upset"
"Stay with the kids, no matter what." But I couldn't look him in the eye, fighting back tears
"No!" the kids, on both sides or time, "mom, you make sacrifices for everyone, taking care of everyone, it's you and dad this time"
As if on cue, our pets- dogs, horses, camels, bison, buffalo, eagles, peacocks, flamingos all line up and turn into a space ship-like appearance; the kids breathe on it, and kiss-fly
I laugh out loud, and Emit kisses the mobile screen.
Antone, still on first watch, warns that the Council's closing all known portals and sending out the Sweeps- a top breach to deal with
I walk fast, beyond the tree that had sheltered me earlier, and head to the deep forest, fresh meadow scent, gentle breeze and sun sparkle from the lake calm my rapid pace and anxious mood.
