Our heroine, Kayla was both fun and difficult to write. She's a sassy woman stuck in a difficult situation. The choices she has to make are ones I had to ask myself, "could I do that?"

This book is a spin-off from another series. It was difficult to think about what our world might be like in a post-apocalypse. How long would we have power? Those kinds of things. My readers love it and think it's a different look in the paranormal romance genre.
