It is difficult to imagine a story about zombies, vampires, or aliens that has not already been told many times over. Immortal Peace puts a twist on the common genre of science fiction by combining the elements of multiple well-known concepts. This story follows Mario Ramirez, a family man in Chicago, as he and his family witness the world erupt when aliens appear on Earth, not with a warning of waging war, but with a peace offering. The Gift is a promising medicinal panacea. When scientists first study the vaccine, they immediately find the potential value of the drug. Unbeknownst to the world, this medicine has some latent adverse side effects that are in no way beneficial. Now the world must wonder whether the Gift is a genuine act of kindness, or possibly the most complex military coup known to mankind.

UFO Video Clip
This clip initially introduces the alien presence, although most viewers believe it to be a hoax. I felt it best to slowly introduce the aliens through television and other sources of media, as that is how most of us gather information. This is a theme that repeats throughout the book, as mass hysteria spreads through the media. It all starts with a short news story, and eventually becomes the only story on the news.
Exopolitics
During my research into alien theories, I found exopolitics. The character of Dr. Michaels, although a small role in the book, is someone I felt necessary to include in the book, especially because of his take on alien invasion movies. The idea of a story involving an alien race which is powerful, yet not trying to declare war, was how I came up with the idea for this book. All the events herein stemmed from that original concept.
Aliens and Egypt
This scene is the first to reference ancient Egypt (Kemet) in the novel. Many who believe in extraterrestrials point to ancient Egypt as evidence for the existence of aliens. This theme is present throughout Immortal Peace until the very end.
