"This book represents a new course for economics, one attuned to the needs of the 21st century. It not only provides a good history of humanity’s socio-economic development but also introduces many new concepts, including that of a "factor balance" between capital and labor, along with other reforms to achieve more economic democracy, environmental sanity, and proposals for preserving a better estate for all future generations on our fragile planet.... This book can help achieve this goal." John McConnell Earth Day Founder

"'FreeDress For Success’ I said when I received the manuscript. C'mon. You've gotta be kidding. Then I started reading. I laughed. And laughed. And then cried and cried. This is a wonderful book, about life, business management - and the nonsense of the 'dress for success' movement. Honest Max, I'll never wear a suit again." Tom Peters, Management Guru Max Comfort = Kent Welton

It is no longer possible to deny the scandal of American politics. Whether on a local, state, or national level a crisis in representation - due to a corrupt campaign-finance system, and nature of our electoral system - is proving nearly impervious to reform. As a result, many are questioning not only campaign-finance practices but our historic modes of representation. Indeed, we may well conclude that corruption, failure, and oligarchy are bred by the very structure of politics as we know it. Our political system is subverted today by what has become a re-election syndrome - i.e., one producing careerist, conflicted, and capital-dependent politicians more indebted to those who fund their campaigns and media exposure than the majorities responsible for their election. The dismal effects of this re-election circus are most pervasive, and significant in their impacts upon the people, within the race for the highest office in the land - the presidency of the United States.
