This is set in Mercer, Wisconsin, back in the 1990s and there was actually a bar/restaurant there off the main road through town called Bar 51 (or something similar) and they actually had a small wooden sign over the bar that had this exact quote on it. I went back there years later but someone had taken the sign down. It always stuck with me.
