Love and Loyalty

I am moved by the courage and loyalty of friends and family, something that isn't always witnessed in the real world. Though terrified of what the hunters will do to him, Maddy's concern is for his best friend, Cory. Yet, Cory refuses to leave him, and would rather suffer with him than abandon him. My characters, though flawed, would stop at nothing to protect those they love. In the real world, there is so much contention and hate, even among those who should love one another. I think that scenes like this one, characters like Cory and Maddy, are my way of creating a world where - though still filled with awful, hateful people - love and loyalty take precedence over fear and hate.
